Now as the brand-new Secretary of State for Health, Sajid Javid says he recognises the ‘huge responsibility’ facing him in dealing here with the Coronavirus pandemic.

Mr Javid took over just hours after Matt Hancock resigned yesterday for smash social distancing rulers after he was filmed caressing an aide-de-camp in the most part where he drew up the guidelines.

The government has said it is launching an internal investigation into how personas of the pair were divulged to the media.
