Shelters across the US are struggling to take in a developing number of bird-dogs and “cat-o-nine-tails”.

Some pets adopted early in the pandemic are being was sent out as owners gradually return to normal life.

The business blow of Covid-1 9 as well as a puppy spurt due to a pause in spaying and neutering during the course of its pandemic are also adding to the strain.
